The Philadelphia 76ers have clinched a berth in the NBA playoffs with a win over the Nets in their final game in New Jersey.

The eight teams that will make up the NBA Eastern Conference's playoff bracket are set as the Philadelphia 76ers beat the New Jersey Nets 105-87 in Newark on Monday night. The game marked the Nets' final home game in New Jersey after more than three decades in the Garden State. The Nets will debut in their new home of Brooklyn for the 2012-13 season.

The Sixers will likely finish as the No. 8 seed in the East, matching up against the Chicago Bulls. Philadelphia started off the season extraordinarily well, but fell apart in the second half. Over the last couple of weeks, the Sixers have gotten solid enough to hold off the Bucks, who attempted a push by swapping the injured Andrew Bogut and out-of-favor Stephen Jackson for Monta Ellis and Ekpe Udoh.

The other six teams set for the Eastern Conference playoffs, in addition to Philadelphia and Chicago, are the Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers, Boston Celtics, Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic and New York Knicks. The seedings will be set when the regular season ends on Thursday. The playoffs begin on Saturday.
