Hey, it's early for the TNT crew. Most of the time, they start working at 8 p.m. and go on until 2 a.m. They aren't used to having to be on top of their game early in the afternoon. That's about the only defense I have for Shaquille O'Neal zoning out on set before the start of the first NBA Playoff Game between the Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers.
It's pretty clear that Ernie Johnson is asking Shaq to actually make a point, going so far as to actually point right at Shaq. Shaq responds by starting Johnson down as if he was Chris Dudley. Here, let's watch it again.
Shaq the commentator is clearly rounding into shape just like Shaq the player famously did so many times in his career.
