The Memphis Grizzlies have started the 2012 NBA Playoffs out strong, racing out to a 58-39 halftime lead over the LA Clippers in Game 1 of their first-round series.
The Grizzlies starters have been dominant, ending the first quarter up 34-16.
While Marc Gasol can't jump with DeAndre Jordan, he's utterly abused him offensively, scoring 14 points on 6-9 shooting while handing out four assists. Gasol, Rudy Gay and Mike Conley all have at least a +19 rating in the first half.
Nothing has gone right for LA in the first half, with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin combing to score three points on 1-7 shooting so far. The only Clipper with a semblance of an offensive game in the first half was Nick Young, who had 10 points on 3-4 shooting off the bench.
If by nothing else than regression to the mean, it's hard to imagine LA playing this poorly in the second half.
