It did not take long for the Nets to push forward with their new identity, which is the smart thing: they weren't getting any more mileage out of their Jersey-focused brand. As of Monday, it became All Brooklyn Everything for the club as the team unveiled their logos, colors and fan gear ... everything except the jerseys.
The one on the right will be at center court at Barclays Center, per CNBC's Darren Rovell. The Nets will also be unique in two other ways: They are the only NBA team whose colors are solely black and white
, and they are the only team whose city will be emblazoned across home and road jerseys. Update: Inaccurate facts!
Per SB Nation's NetsDaily, the jerseys will arrive in June. Aesthetics are largely subjective, but I, for one, like the new scheme. The black could get to be a bit much over 82 games, perhaps. We'll find out next year. In the meantime, let us know what you think of the Nets' new identity.
