GIF: Dirk Nowitzki's Starting To Wag His Tongue Again
One of my favorite moments of the season was when Dirk Nowitzki celebrated hitting a game-tying shot in overtime against the Utah Jazz in a critical late-season game by sticking his tongue out. It was classic Nowitzki because he managed to look so goofy despite being completely locked in.
That Nowitzki has returned. With his Dallas Mavericks trailing by double digits in Game 2 against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night, Nowitzki scored 10 straight points to get them back into the game. Dallas only trails by seven points at halftime and is very much alive in this game, all thanks to Nowitzki going off when his team needed him most.
That accomplishment is worthy of the tongue wag.
