Derrick Rose has missed the Chicago Bulls' last 12 games, but that streak is going to come to an end Sunday. The reigning NBA MVP will return to play the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden and he should play a fair amount. From K.C. Johnson at the Chicago Tribune:
Coach Tom Thibodeau said Rose's minutes might drop a little. But Thibodeau said the reigning most valuable player has looked explosive in practice.
ESPN's Stephen A. Smith said on SportsCenter that Rose's minutes will not be limited, but he typically plays close to 40 minutes a game, and it's hard to fathom Thibodeau running him out there for that long. Expect him to play north of 30 minutes and to play a large part of the fourth quarter if it's close.
The Bulls won 8 of 12 games in Rose's absence.
