The Atlanta Hawks, as expected, are in front of the undermanned Boston Celtics at halftime of Game 2 of their 2012 NBA Playoffs first-round series, but it's been a bit of a struggle. Without Rajon Rondo the Celtics have managed to hang in there, as they trail only 44-41 at halftime.
The Celtics actually held the lead early in the second quarter, but that was before Jeff Teague got going. The Atlanta Hawks' young point guard has carved up the Celtics with Rondo sidelined, scoring 12 points including this tomahawk jam midway through the quarter.
The Celtics are hanging around thanks mostly to Paul Pierce, who has put Boston on his back with Rondo not in the lineup. Pierce scored Boston's first nine points and had 16 in the half. Avery Bradley, who is playing point guard with Rondo suspended, added nine.
