The NBA offseason is still a couple months away, but the rumors have already started with free-agent guard Steve Nash. The Phoenix Suns star has reached a critical point of his career, as he is an unrestricted free agent and could very well leave Phoenix. To prevent that from happening, the Suns will offer him a two-year, $20 million deal, according to HoopsWorld's Alex Kennedy.
Sources say Phoenix will likely offer Steve Nash two years, $20 million. However, I think Nash leaves money on the table to join contender.

It remains to be seen what Nash decided, but one "contender" that surely will appear often in rumors is the New York Knicks. Kurt Helin of Pro Basketball Talk (via SB Nation New York) believes the Knicks will go hard after Nash this summer, though a lot depends on how the team views Jeremy Lin, who is also a free agent.
