C.J. Watson Forgets Game Situation, Makes Costly Mistake

The shot clock was off. The Bulls had the lead and the shot clock was off. Time was winding down, and all Chicago needed to do was keep the ball in a solid free throw shooter's hands, wait to be fouled and take care of business at the line. It seems simple.

However, C.J. Watson forgot what was going on in the game. Maybe it was adrenaline, or maybe he got caught up in the moment. After the Bulls broke the 76ers press and avoided the foul, Watson and Omer Asik found themselves in a two-on-one situation.

But instead of backing out and taking the foul, Watson passed to Asik, hoping for a quick lay-in. That pass should've never happened.

Asik missed both free throws, Andre Iguodala was fouled on the other end after a frantic break towards the hoop, and after converting both, the Sixers took home the win.

Just hold the ball, man. That's all you gotta' do.
