Chris Andersen Investigation Commented On By Nuggets Coach George Karl

Denver Nuggets center Chris Andersen is currently being investigated "for undisclosed Internet crimes against children," according to numerous reports released on Wednesday. While the investigation is troubling to say the least, it's difficult to speculate what exactly is happening in the situation.

Andersen's agent has already asked for the public to hold judgment and now George Karl -- coach of "Birdman" and the Nuggets -- has also gone on record to talk about the situation.

"For me right now, I'm in a stage where I don't know enough information and we're advised probably not to talk about it until we know the information, but the one thing I will say is - I trust Chris," Karl said. "My years with him, he's been fantastic and he's really grown as a person. We're going to support him and stand by him."

Considering Karl knows Andersen better than most, his comments on the situation are worth considering.

"I talked to Bird for about 5-10 minutes after shootaround. He was emotional and I was in a state where I didn't want to spend a lot of time on that," Karl said. "I think enough guys individually have been told what's going on. We don't have the full story to analyze and scrutinize. I trust Bird, I think Bird will figure this out."

Until the full story is uncovered, as Karl notes, it's probably best to withhold judgment.

We'll have more on this developing situation in this StoryStream as the investigation is uncovered. For more on the Andersen investigation, visit Denver Stiffs and SB Nation Denver.
