The Indiana Pacers stroll into Miami on Sunday looking to pull off a monumental upset against the Heat.
The Indiana Pacers made their way thorough a series against a Dwight Howard-less Orlando Magic team in the first round of the playoffs, but they get a bit of a step-up in competition on Sunday afternoon. Just minutes after LeBron James is presented with the NBA MVP award, the Pacers will take the floor to face off against the defending Eastern Conference champions, the Miami Heat.
Miami won three out of the four meetings between the two teams in the regular season, including both of the games between the two teams at the AmericanAirlines Arena. Indiana won the most recent meeting between the two teams, in Indianapolis on March 26.
There is an obvious talent discrepancy between the two teams, but Indiana started to play some of their best basketball towards the end of the regular season, and they did push the Heat to overtime in one of their losses in Miami. Even so, anything but a win in Game 1 would be considered a minor disaster for the Heat.
Game Date/Time: Sunday, 3:30 p.m. ET
Venue: AmericanAirlines Arena, Miami, Florida
TV: ABC
