I'd like to imagine a 12-year-old Lou Williams going to his local park and practicing two specific kinds of shots. First, he'd pretend there were 40 seconds left in the quarter and he had to shoot within the next five seconds. He'd announce the action as he did it, and when he hit the shot, he'd yell, "HE HITS IT! LOU FOR ONE!"
Then, he'd pretend the other team missed and he got the ball back at the end of the first quarter. He'd practice dribbling, pretend to lose the ball, then recover it and shoot absurd 30-footers. Basically, he'd do this.
Thanks to his practicing, the 76ers have a 33-28 lead after a surprisingly high-scoring first quarter against the Boston Celtics.
