The Spurs continued to look like a well-oiled machine Thursday en route to their 105-88 Game 2 win over the Clippers. San Antonio now leads the best-of-seven game series 2-0.
Five different Spurs scored in double figures with Tony Parker leading the way with 22 points. Parker also had five assists, five rebounds and three steals in his 37 minutes. Four of the five Spurs starters scored at least 10 points with rookie Kawhi Leonard the only one not in double figures with five points.
Blake Griffin scored 20 points to lead the Clippers, but finished with just one rebound. Chris Paul, who scored six points in Game 1 of the series, finished with 10 points and five assists in Game 2. As a team, Los Angeles made 9 of 13 3-point attempts, but it was not enough to keep pace with the Spurs.
San Antionio has now won both games in this series by at least 16 points. They won Game 1 108-92. The series will shift to Los Angeles for Game 3 on Saturday.
