The 2012 NBA Playoffs have been fun thus far, but Wednesday night's schedule has a lot to live up to when it gets underway with a TNT doubleheader. There will be a pair of Game 2s played, sandwiched by the third game in a series that very few people are paying attention to this postseason.
Wednesday night's slate of games will kick off with the San Antonio Spurs hosting the Utah Jazz in the second game of their seven-game series at 7 p.m. ET on TNT. Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan all had their moments in Game 1, but Wednesday night's focus from the fans will likely be to see if anyone on the Jazz roster can step up to match the production of frontcourt mates Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson.
The Orlando Magic and Indiana Pacers split the first two games of their series despite Danny Granger and the Pacers possession of homecourt advantage... not to mention a roster advantage, too, considering the Magic are without Dwight Howard in the Playoffs. They were unable to get out to a series lead in the opening games, however, giving the Magic an excellent opportunity on Wednesday night to take control of the series at home when their game tips off at 7:30 p.m. on NBA TV.
The Memphis Grizzlies will open Wednesday night by attempting to regain all of the steam they had before collapsing in the fourth quarter against the Los Angeles Clippers in the opening game of the series. Chris Paul and his team now knows they can come back from a 20-point deficit in the fourth quarter, but they likely won't allow themselves to fall so far behind for Wednesday night's 9:30 affair on TNT.
