Miami Heat center Dexter Pittman was suspended three games by the NBA, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. The suspension comes following Game 5, when Pittman drew a flagrant foul for elbowing Indiana's Lance Stephenson in the throat.
The NBA will suspend Miami's Dexter Pittman for 3 games, league source tells Y!

The incident occurred with 18 seconds left to play in the fourth quarter of Game 5. After Indiana's A.J. Price made a jump shot, Pittman lunged into Stephenson and hit him in the throat with his elbow. Pittman was assessed a flagrant one foul at the time.
The suspension won't affect the Heat, as Pittman rarely plays. He played in 35 games during the regular season, but has logged just six minutes over two games against the Pacers.
EDIT: The NBA made it official, announcing Pittman's suspension shortly after Wojnarowski's report.
