The Atlanta Hawks and the Boston Celtics are all knotted up at one game apiece in their opening-round NBA Playoffs series. The Hawks are playing with a depleted squad and it looks unlikely that they'll be able to receive any reinforcements before the first round is in the books.
Michael Cunningham of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that center Zaza Pachulia has a bone chip in his foot. Pachulia suffered the injury back on April 13 with a return timetable at the time of 4-6 weeks. According to Cunningham, Pachulia is definitely out for Games 4 and 5 and would likely be out for Game 6, should the series still be going at that point.
Pachulia had averaged 7.8 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game during the strike-shortened 2011-12 NBA regular season. The Hawks player missed the last seven games of the regular season as the result of his injury.
