New York Knicks guard Baron Davis has suffered what the team is calling a "dislocated right patella" in his right knee, according to ABC sideline reporter Lisa Salters on the broadcast. As most expected, Davis will not be returning to Game 4 of the Knicks' 2012 NBA Playoffs first-round series against the Miami Heat.

Davis suffered the injury trying to go on a fast break midway through the third quarter on Sunday. He tried to step through to go for a layup, and his right knee buckled. He had to be taken off the court on a stretcher, which should give you some indication about how serious this knee injury is.
