Taj Gibson Injury: Bulls Forward Rolls Ankle, Leaves Games Briefly

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Chicago Bulls are one quarter away from picking up their second victory against the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2012 NBA Playoffs, but they might be down another player. Taj Gibson left the game late in the third quarter after rolling his ankle while trying to block a Lavoy Allen shot (check out the GIF here).

Gibson went to the bench and was in obvious pain. After the trainers looked him over, he went back to the locker room for further evaluation. He scored four points, grabbed six rebounds and blocked four shots before he left the game. He also elbowed Elton Brand earlier in the game and received a double technical foul as a result.
