Orlando Magic GM Search Narrows To 3 Candidates, According To Report

The Orlando Magic have narrowed their search for a new general manager to three candidates, and one of those three is a surprise. Rob Hennigan, the 30-year old assistant GM for the Oklahoma City Thunder, remains in the picture, along with San Antonio Spurs assistant Dennis Lindsey and former New Orleans Hornets GM Jeff Bower, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

Hennigan, a former Spurs intern, followed a similar path as current Thunder GM Sam Presti to his position. If he wins the job, he would be the youngest general manager in the league. Lindsey has worked with the Spurs for the last five years, while Bower was well-regarded for running a team on a tight budget in New Orleans before being let go in 2010.

The Magic are hoping to hire a GM before the June 28 draft, according to Wojnarowski. The team fired former GM Otis Smith and coach Stan Van Gundy in mid-May.
