The Miami Heat Championship parade is wrapping up, and the players and fans are expected to head inside American Airlines Arena in Miami in the next few minutes. When they get there, they may be given a live performance from Pitbull, the famous pop star. According to the TV station broadcasting the parade on ESPN3, "rumor has it" that Pitbull will be in attendance.
Pitbull is expected to be the lead celebrity in the building, but he likely won't be alone. This is Miami, after all. In addition, with Pitbull in the arena, the chances of members of the Heat dancing have increased. Pat Riley, for example, got down after the Heat won the 2006 championship. It remains to be seen if he will again.
Other notes:
- The parade itself was pretty fast, ending in just over an hour. Nevertheless, those in the arena were asked to be in their seats by 10:30 a.m. ET, meaning they will have been there for over an hour before the Heat get there.
- All in all, the city certainly showed up. Here's a screenshot of just a small portion of the crowd watching the Heat's parade.
