It's become clear Deron Williams is going to milk free agency for all it's worth in a much more devious way than LeBron James could ever dream up.

Which way does this speculation even swing? Jason Kidd has been with the Mavericks for a few seasons now, but is one of the biggest stars in Nets history. Also, the Hamptons are slightly closer to Brooklyn than Dallas. Is Deron indicating that he will join Kidd in Dallas? Or that Kidd, an unrestricted free agent, will join Deron in Brooklyn to begin the new era of the Nets?
Most likely, Deron and Kidd are just friends who were in New York and wanted to play golf.
The stakes will be raised and raised again as free agency approaches on July 1 -- this Sunday. Here's to hoping DeShawn Stevenson, Devin Harris and Keith Van Horn get involved.
