The Spurs will try to buck the Thunder's momentum back at home with the Western Conference Finals tied 2-2.
When the San Antonio Spurs left home last, they were up 2-0 in the Western Conference Finals, riding a 20-game winning streak and looked downright unstoppable. Well, two games later, the Oklahoma City Thunder have won two games of their own, the last of which on the back of Kevin Durant, unsurprisingly, and a career night from Serge Ibaka, and the Spurs return home facing their first true adversity of the playoffs.
In Game 4, Tim Duncan looked old and a step slow. When he wasn't getting schooled by Ibaka, it was Kendrick Perkins having his best game of the series, and ditto for Nick Collison. Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili played fine, but not nearly the forces of nature they were in Games 1 and 2. Perhaps they will be rejuvenated in front of a home crowd, but for the first time in these playoffs, we saw their weaknesses.
The Thunder, on the other hand, couldn't be more thrilled with the way their home games went. In Game 4, they managed to dispatch the Spurs without a significant contribution from Russell Wesbtrook — only seven points — and tied up the series. The momentum is firmly in their hands, since they're the first team since April to figure out how to beat the Spurs. It should be interesting.
Game Date/Time: Monday, June 5, 9 p.m. ET
Location: AT&T Center, San Antonio, Texas
TV: TNT
