With Team USA's Olympic training camp under way, there's plenty of NBA stars under the same roof ready and willing to discuss the ongoing free agency period.
The Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant is one player not shying away from the throngs of reporters, and he sounded off on what the signing of former Phoenix Suns point guard Steve Nash means to his team's chances next season:
"We're going to have to be dealt with," Bryant yold Yahoo! Sports' Marc Spears. ... "[Nash's] ability to create for others in the pick-and-roll is one of the best we've ever seen. He has a high basketball IQ as far as being a coach on the floor. It gives us a great chance."
But with the addition of Nash Bryant was candid in saying he doesn't think the Lakers are through making roster moves. We know that an Andrew Bynum-for-Dwight Howard trade has been speculated ad nauseam, and it's a discussion by no means lost on one of the game's most accomplished players.
"I follow it as I'm sure everyone else does," Bryant told Spears. "I don't know what is going on in [Bynum's] inner circle, what Orlando is looking for, what they want to do. I just hope the best for him and he lands in a situation where he is happy."
Regardless of what happens to the Lakers roster through the summer, just know that Kobe will be watching closely.
