The Philadelphia 76ers were one of the big winners in the four-team blockbuster deal that saw Dwight Howard land in Los Angeles with the Lakers, and the Sixers came away with one of the best low-post players in the game in 24-year-old Andrew Bynum.
According to The700Level.com, the Sixers will formally introduce Bynum -- along with guard Jason Richardson -- at a press conference scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at the National Constitution Center at 12:15 p.m. ET.
Bynum, a native of Plainsboro, N.J., which is less than an hour away from Philadelphia, has spent his entire career on the West Coast with the Lakers and he arrives in Philly as the best center to wear a Sixers uniform since Moses Malone.
The young center also brings with him a wealth of experience from playing for a winning organization as well as two NBA champuonship rings earned in 2009 and 2010.
Although branded as somewhat mercurial, Andrew Bynum is without question the best center in the NBA not named Dwight Howard and his presence immediately raises the Sixers profile in the Eastern Conference.
