The Minnesota Timberwolves open training camp in early October, and the team expects to add a big man for the veteran's minimum before that time. At the top of the list, according to Darren Wolfson of 1500ESPN, is ex-Washington Wizards center Andray Blatche, who was waived in June under the amnesty clause. Per Wolfson, Timberwolves scout Milton Barnes recently watched Blatche participate in a pick up game in Houston that also included free agent big man Hassan Whiteside, who may also be on Minnesota's radar.
Ex-Denver Nuggets center Chris Andersen and former New York Knicks big man Josh Harrellson are both being courted by various NBA teams, but the T-Wolves are not expected to be in the mix for either. They have, however, been in contact with Anthony Tolliver, who has been with Minnesota for the last two seasons.
