D-League Veteran Trey Gilder To Audition For Jazz

Trey Gilder has done it all in the D-League, but he'll once again be looking to find an NBA home as he tries to earn a spot with the Utah Jazz in training camp.

Gilder was with the Jazz last year in training camp and has once found himself on a regular season roster after hanging on with the Memphis Grizzlies after the 2009-2010 preseason. But he only made his way into a pair of regular season games briefly. The 6-foot-9 forward from Dallas will hope to find a spot on a roster that already has several similarly sized small-power forward type players in Marvin Williams, Jeremy Evans, and DeMarre Carroll.

The 27-year-old went to Northwestern State after a stint in junior college and has a D-League Championship under his belt, winning with the Colorado 14ers in 2009 as well as a D-League All-Star appearance. He's played professionally in Australia and Venezuela, but proved his value this past season averaging career highs of 19.2 points and 7.7 rebounds with the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
