Phoenix Suns forward Channing Frye held a press conference on Friday to discuss his health and the future of his career after being diagnosed with an enlarged heart that will force him to miss the entire 2012-13 NBA season.

Frye remained optimistic despite the diagnosis, noting that it is not a "good situation," but remains hopeful about his future in the NBA.

Per AZ Central's Paul Coro via twitter:

Coro also tweeted that Frye's cardiologist, Dr. Tim Byrne, feels the "chances are better than not" that Frye's heart can get back to normal, while Suns president Lon Babby said they team won't do "anything dramatic" with the roster with Frye being out.

Frye, a seven year veteran of out the University of Arizona, started 59 of the 64 games he played in for the Suns last year, averaging 10.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
