The Los Angeles Clippers named Gary Sacks their new vice president of basketball operations on Tuesday.
The Clippers announced Tuesday that Gary Sacks has been named their new vice president of basketball operations.
As Steve Perrin wrote at Clips Nation, since Neil Olshey left the organization in June to become the general manager of the Portland Trail Blazers, Sacks has worked in conjunction with head coach Vinny Del Negro and team president Andy Roeser on what has been an awfully busy offseason for the Clippers. The team signed Jamal Crawford and Grant Hill, re-signed Chauncey Billups, traded for Lamar Odom and extended the contract of Blake Griffin.
Sacks has been with the Clippers for 19 years, and has spent the past two years working as the the team's director of player personnel.
Perrin is skeptical about the move and will be posting in-depth analysis of the promotion on Clips Nation very soon. Stay tuned.
