Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder handed the Lakers their sixth straight loss Friday.
Kevin Durant scored 42 points to go with eight rebounds and five assists as the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Los Angeles Lakers, 116-101, on Friday. It was the sixth straight loss for the Lakers, who have yet to win in 2013.
Russell Westbrook scored 27 points and had 10 assists for the Thunder, Kevin Martin scored 15 points off the bench and Nick Collison had nine rebounds and five assists.
The Lakers, who played without injured big men Pau Gasol, Dwight Howard and Jordan Hill, shot below 40 percent for the game. The team also learned Friday that Hill, a key reserve, will miss the rest of the season with a hip injury. Robert Sacre and Earl Clark started in place of the injured bigs.
Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 28 points, but he shot just 8-of-23. Antawn Jamison scored 19 points off the bench, Metta World Peace scored 12 points, Clark had 10 and Steve Nash had seven points and seven assists.
