In the midst of a breakout season, Glen Davis suffered a shoulder injury last month. On Monday, he'll be in uniform as the Magic visit D.C.
The Orlando Magic have activated power forward Glen Davis for Monday's game against the Washington Wizards, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports. Robbins mentions that he's unsure whether Davis will actually play, but it sounds like he'll be in uniform and ready to play if necessary.
Davis, Orlando's second-leading scorer, suffered a left shoulder injury in the final minute of a win against the Wizards on Dec. 19. On the play, Emeka Okafor committed a hard foul on Davis as he attacked the rim for a layup, spraining the Magic big man's shoulder.
When healthy, Davis has been a pleasant surprise for Orlando this season. His per game averages of 16 points and 7.9 rebounds are both career-highs, he's getting to the free throw line more than ever and his 45 percent shooting percentage is the highest it's been since his rookie season.
2012 first round pick Andrew Nicholson has been starting at power forward in place of Davis. He hasn't been able to match Big Baby's performance, but he did record 22 points and seven rebounds in a loss to the Toronto Raptors on Dec. 29.
UPDATE: Davis entered the game at the 5:35 mark in the first quarter vs. Washington.
