Jeff Teague did a little bit of everything to lead Atlanta past one of the hottest teams in the NBA.

Jeff Teague scored a team-high 28 points and added 11 assists to lead the Atlanta Hawks past the Brooklyn Nets, 109-95, on Wednesday night at Phillips Arena.

Al Horford had a nice game of his own for the Hawks, adding 17 points and 13 rebounds on 7-of-12 shooting.

Atlanta (22-16) snapped a two-game losing streak and collected just its second win of the New Year, defeating a surging Nets team to pull out of the slump. They used an impressive 56-40 first half in which they stifled the Nets, holding them to 39.1 percent from the field and dominating the glass by a margin of 27-18.

Atlanta shot a blazing 57.7 percent from the field.

Brook Lopez led the way for Brooklyn (23-16), scoring 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. Joe Johnson struggled to a 4-of-15 shooting night and managed just 15 points.

All five Atlanta starters scored in double figures, and every player that entered the game scored. Brooklyn never led throughout the game, which was never even tied.
