NBA schedule 2013: Bulls, Celtics take ESPN stage on Friday night

Rob Grabowski-USA TODAY Sports

The surging Chicago Bulls (22-15) will take on the Boston Celtics (20-18) in the first game of the ESPN doubleheader on Friday night. Get a complete breakdown of the NBA schedule for Friday night right here.

The suddenly hot Chicago Bulls will take on the Boston Celtics in the early ESPN game on Friday night, while Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder will bring the league's longest winning streak into Dallas for a matchup against the Mavericks in the late game.

Other big matchups around the NBA include a meeting between the Rockets and Pacers and a clash between the Warriors and Spurs in San Antonio.

The Bulls have recorded wins in six of their last eight games, and Carlos Boozer has been doing his part to help the squad. He's hardly a perfect fit for Tom Thibodeau's system, but Boozer has upped his scoring and rebounding production in recent weeks to offset his defensive deficiencies. The bald-headed big man from Duke has posted an impressive double-double average of 24.0 points and 10.8 rebounds per game over eight contests in the month of January. Boozer is coming off a very impressive 36-point, 12-rebound game against Toronto on Wednesday, so it will be interesting to see how Kevin Garnett and Co. handle him on Friday night.

In the second ESPN game, a winning streak must end. The Thunder have won a league-high five games in a row, while the Mavericks are winners of four straight games. Oklahoma City has built up the best record in the NBA, including a 12-5 mark on the road, so Dallas will be in a tough spot on Friday.

Stephen Curry (ankle) won't be available to the Warriors, so it's up to Jarrett Jack to help Golden State avoid their 28th consecutive loss to the Spurs in a road game. It's not just a road issue for the Warriors, as they've dropped 16 straight games to San Antonio in the head-to-head series.
