Grizzlies 85, Bulls 82 OT
Zach Randolph recorded his league-leading 26th double-double of the season to help Memphis overcome a late Chicago surge and defeat the Bulls, 85-82 in overtime.
The Grizzles led 60-47 heading into the fourth quarter before Chicago outscored Memphis 29-16 in the final frame to force an overtime period. Memphis recovered from the fourth-quarter collapse by outscoring Chicago 9-6 in overtime to secure the three-point win.
Marc Gasol led the Grizzlies with 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field while Mike Conley recorded 13 points, nine assists, three steals and three blocks in a team-high 47 minutes. Randolph had 13 points and 19 rebounds.
Jimmy Butler led the Bulls with 18 points and eight rebounds and has now scored in double-figures in back-to-back games for the first time this season.
Timberwolves 92, Rockets 79
Andrei Kirilenko had 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead a hobbled Minnesota team over Houston, 92-79, on Saturday. The loss was Houston's seventh in a row as they fell to 21-21 on the season and into ninth place in the Western Conference standings.
Minnesota had many new faces in the lineup as newly signed Chris Johnson and Mickael Gelabale each played significant minutes off the bench and recorded 15 and 11 points respectively in their season debuts. The Timberwolves are currently without Chase Budinger, Dante Cunningham, Kevin Love, Nikola Pekovic, Brandon Roy and Alexey Shved. They are all recovering from injuries.
James Harden led the Rockets with 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists but was 0-for-7 from the three-point line. Houston as a team shot just 32.1 percent from the floor including 25.8 percent from three-point territory. The Rockets' top-three scorers -- Harden, Jeremy Lin and Chandler Parsons -- combined to shoot 10-of-40 for the game.
Kings 97, Bobcats 93
DeMarcus Cousins recorded 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead Sacramento over Charlotte, 97-93. The double-double was Cousins' fourth in a row and 18th of the season as the Kings improved to 3-1 in their last four games.
Tyreke Evans and Isaiah Thomas had 16 and 15 points respectively while Kemba Walker led Charlotte with 14 points and 10 assists in the loss.
Spurs 98, Hawks 93
San Antonio won its fourth game in a row as the Spurs defeated Atlanta, 98-93, on Saturday. Tony Parker led San Antonio with 23 points and 12 assists as the team was playing without Tim Duncan, who did not dress (rest).
Matt Bonner played over 20 minutes for the first time in the month of January and contributed 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field including a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point territory. The Hawks have now lost two games in a row and are 2-8 in their last 10.
Warriors 116, Hornets 112
Golden State snapped a three-game losing streak as it defeated New Orleans, 116-112. Stephen Curry returned to the Warriors' lineup after missing two games with an ankle injury and recorded 20 points and seven assists on 5-of-17 shooting from field. Jarrett Jack added 25 points and 12 assists off the bench for the Warriors.
Anthony Davis and 20 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks for New Orleans in the loss.
Jazz 109, Cavaliers 98
Randy Foye scored a team-high 20 points to lead Utah over Cleveland, 109-98. The win was Utah's third in a row as the Jazz improved to 6-2 in January.
Derrick Favors matched a season-high with 19 points off the bench for Utah. Tyler Zeller and Tristan Thompson both recorded double-doubles for Cleveland while combining to shoot 11-of-21 from the field.
Bucks 110, Trail Blazers 104
Ersan Ilyasova scored a season-high 27 points to help hand Portland its fifth loss in a row as the Bucks defeated the Trail Blazers, 110-104, on Saturday. Rookie Damian Lillard recorded 26 points and 10 assists in the loss as Portland fell to 20-20 on the season.
Clippers 94, Wizards 87
Chris Paul returned to the Clippers' lineup after missing the previous three games with a knee injury and recorded 22 points and 11 assists to lead Los Angeles over Washington, 94-87.
The win was the Clippers' fourth in a row and they improved to 32-9, just a half game back of the Oklahoma City Thunder for the best record in the league.
John Wall scored a season-high 24 points for the Wizards.
