The Los Angeles Lakers will travel to Toronto to play the Raptors on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET but it's unclear whether Pau Gasol will be in the starting lineup, according to Dave McMenamin at ESPNLosAngeles.com.
Gasol came off the bench in the team's 99-90 loss to Miami on Jan. 17 after missing the previous five games with a concussion. Gasol had 12 points, four rebounds and four assists on 4-of-7 shooting from the field as a reserve.
As of Friday evening, coach Mike D'Antoni told McMenamin that his "job is to put the best team on the floor" and that he's unsure whether Gasol or Earl Clark will start versus the Raptors.
Clark has started the last four games at power forward for the Lakers and is averaging 8.8 points and 8.8 rebounds during that span.
Gasol told McMenamin that he's been a "star starter" for his entire career and would like to continue to start on the Lakers this season.
Gasol has started 815 of the 822 games that he's played in during his 12-year career, according to McMenamin. Gasol is averaging 12.2 points and 8.2 rebounds while shooting a career-low 42.0 percent from the floor this season.
