The Los Angeles Clippers have established themselves as one of the top teams in the Western Conference. The Golden State Warriors have been a pleasant surprise this season but have been skidding of late.
The Warriors have lost three of their last four and have fallen 7.5 games back of first-place Oklahoma City in the Western Conference standings. Golden State got back Stephen Curry from injury on Saturday and snapped a three game losing streak with a 116-112 win over the New Orleans Hornets. David Lee sat out that win with an ankle injury and is questionable for Monday's game.
The Clippers won 17 games in a row earlier this season and are streaking again having won six of their last seven. Los Angeles defeated the Washington Wizards 94-87 on Saturday for their third straight win. Chris Paul returned from injury against the Wizards and finished with 22 points and 11 assists.
The Warriors have taken two of three from the Clippers and look to take the season series on Monday. Both teams' benches will play a huge part in the outcome of the game. The Clippers reserves, led by Jamal Crawford, are one of the most explosive groups in the league. It will take a huge effort from the Warriors to try to keep pace. Crawford is averaging 16.5 points off the bench and slowing him down could be as big a factor as slowing down Paul and Blake Griffin.
Tip off is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET. There is currently no line on the game.
