The Atlanta Hawks will start rookie John Jenkins in place of the injured Devin Harris on Monday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Atlanta Hawks will be without starting point guard Devin Harris against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday, and he will be replaced by rookie John Jenkins, reports PeachTreeHoops.com. It will be Jenkins' first NBA start.

Harris has been ruled out with an ankle problem that had him listed as day-to-day. Jenkins will be joined by Jeff Teague, Josh Smith, Al Horford and Zaza Pachulia in the starting lineup.

Jenkins is averaging 4.3 points in 11.2 minutes per game this year. His playing time has increased of late, and it's bound to remain that way with Lou Williams out for the year with an ACL injury.

Hawks coach Larry Drew will also be without guard DeShawn Stevenson, who is day-to-day with a knee injury. Both Stevenson and Harris could be available for Wednesday's game against the Charlotte Bobcats, but PeachTreeHoops.com reports that the team would like to see them give it a go during a practice first.

Harris is averaging 8.7 points and 2.5 assists per game this season.
