Lawson added seven assists, four rebounds and two steals to fill up the stat sheet in the win.

Denver (26-18) got points from all over the floor in a balanced effort, while Houston (22-22) struggled to secure the ball in the loss.

James Harden led the way for the Rockets, scoring 23 points, adding seven assists and three rebounds. Omer Asik grabbed 13 rebounds.

The third quarter spelled the end for the Rockets, when they committed seven turnovers resulting in 12 easy points for the Nuggets. Denver shot 61.9 percent from the field and a stellar 66.7 percent from the three-point line in the quarter. Their ability to take advantage of transition baskets made the second half a non-contest.
