The NBA announced reserves for the 2013 All-Star Game in Houston on Thursday night, and most of the players who made the cut, or missed the cut, will be in action for the first time on Friday. Will some selected reserves like Kyrie Irving, Joakim Noah, James Harden and David Lee turn the night into a celebration of their accomplishment? Will snubs like Brook Lopez, Stephen Curry and Marc Gasol offer their on-court response to the slight?
Brandon Jennings suffered a dip in production when he didn't make the All-Star roster last season, so his emotions will be put to the test when the Bucks take on All-Star reserve Kyrie Irving and the Cavaliers. Milwaukee has been great against Cleveland this season, but if Jennings isn't focused on the game it could be different story this time around.
David Lee is the first Warriors All-Star since Latrell Sprewell in 1997, and he will get an opportunity to go against fellow All-Star Joakim Noah and the Chicago Bulls. Meanwhile, All-Star snub Brook Lopez will lead his Brooklyn Nets squad into Memphis for a matchup against Marc Gasol (a snub) and Zach Randolph (an All-Star), and it will be very interesting to see how assertive Lopez is in that game.
