LaMarcus Aldridge validated his All-Star selection in a big way on Tuesday night at the West Coast version of "The Garden."
LaMarcus Aldridge completed a personal 5-0 run with less than 15 seconds left to propel the Portland Trail Blazers past the Dallas Mavericks, 106-104, on Tuesday night at the Rose Garden.
The clutch performance from the All-Star forward capped off an improbable second-half comeback that saw the Blazers down by as many as 21 points. The Blazers (23-22) scored 64 points in the second half and shot 51.2 percent from the field to overtake the stunned Mavs.

Dallas (19-26) committed 16 costly turnovers that would make all the difference in the end. The Blazers turned many of them into easy transition baskets and fast-break points, scoring 18 points off the giveaways.
Aldridge finished with a game-high 29 points and 13 rebounds on 12-20 from the field, including the lone three-pointer that tied the game in the final seconds. J.J. Hickson had a strong performance of his own, adding 26 points and 15 rebounds.
Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavs with 26 points, four rebounds and four assists.
