The Chicago Bulls (18-13) used a strong defense and presence on the glass by the team's starting frontcourt to beat the Miami Heat (22-9) 96-89 Friday.

Bulls forward Carlos Boozer had 27 points and 12 rebounds and center Joakim Noah had 13 points and 12 rebounds. Taj Gibson had nine rebounds off the bench. Nate Robinson added 13 points off the bench for Chicago. The Bulls led by one at halftime, but used a decisive third quarter, out-scoring the Heat 26-18, to expand their lead.

The Bulls held Miami to 46 percent shooting and the Heat were just 3 for 16 from three-point range as no Heat player outside of the Big Three scored more than six points. LeBron James led all scorers with 30 points. He also had six rebounds and two assists. Dwyane Wade scored 22 points with four assists and Chris Bosh had 14 points, five rebounds and four assists.
