Duncan suffered the chest contusion in the season-opening win Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies. At the beginning of the third quarter, he left the game after taking a Tony Allen elbow to the chest, which caused Duncan to experience spasms in his neck and shoulders.

As Diaw moves into the starting lineup alongside center Tiago Splitter, both Matt Bonner and Jeff Ayres could benefit from more minutes.
