Clippers vs. Nets: Brooklyn finding more energy with Williams at the helm

Jennifer Stewart-USA TODAY Sport

Los Angeles shot just 39 percent in the first half and finds itself in a 12-point hole at the break.

Well, what do you know about the Nets? It's Deron Williams' second game back from injury, and so far everything is looking a heck of a lot better than it has all season.

Brooklyn currently leads the Los Angeles Clippers, 56-44, at the break, and Williams leads his team with 13 points. The Nets also have 12 points from Andray Blatche and 10 apiece from Brook Lopez and Joe Johnson. Despite shooting just 43.6 percent from the floor, Brooklyn has capitalized off 10 Clippers turnovers to jumpstart the Nets in the first half.

On the flip side, Chris Paul is the only one who seems to be doing anything for L.A. He's got 14 points, but his teammates are having issues hitting shots. The Clippers are shooting 39.5 percent from the floor and have hit just three of their 11 shots from beyond the arc.

Overall, the return of Williams has seemingly given the Nets more energy, which is something you'd expect from the best player on the team. Let's see what happens after half.
