NBA Christmas results 2013: Thunder dominate Knicks in 123-94 victory

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka called it an early night as the Thunder annihilated the Knicks, making for a very un-merry Christmas Day in Madison Square Garden.

The Oklahoma City Thunder had no trouble polishing off the New York Knicks in a 123-94 Christmas Day victory. Russell Westbrook finished with 14 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, piling up a triple-double by the third quarter. Kevin Durant dismantled the Knicks' defense, finishing the night with 29 points on 10-of-16 shooting. Serge Ibaka also had a big game, scoring 24 points on 71 percent shooting.

Westbrook, Durant and Ibaka sat out the entire fourth quarter and watched their bench close out New York.

The Thunder as a team had no trouble scoring against the Knicks. They finished shooting 54 percent from three-point range and 54 percent overall. The Thunder led by as many as 31 points in the fourth quarter. By the closing quarter of the game, the crowd at Madison Square Garden took to booing the home team, and Reggie Jackson put an exclamation point on a huge Thunder victory by posterizing Amar'e Stoudemire:

Carmelo Anthony did not play, ruled out after being considered a game-time decision after spraining his ankle against the Orlando Magic Monday. J.R. Smith scored 20 points, taking on Anthony's scoring load by attempting 22 field goals. He made eight of his attempts. Amar'e Stoudemire scored a team-high 22 points and Tim Hardaway Jr. added in 21 points off the bench.

Reggie Jackson and Jeremy Lamb combined for 31 points off the bench for Oklahoma City. The Thunder won their sixth straight road game and improved to 23-5 on the season.
