Stevens on Olynyk: "He told me he's feeling a little better but I don't know exactly what that means. I know he won't be playing tomorrow."— Boston Celtics (@celtics) December 7, 2013
Olynyk is averaging 7.5 points and 5.4 rebounds on 39 percent shooting in his first season in the NBA. He figures to be a key cog in Boston's rebuilding plan, so taking the long view with the big man is the safe move.
There's no word yet if Olynyk will be available during Boston's game Tuesday against Brooklyn.
Boston has won five of its last seven games and, at 9-12, sits atop the woeful Atlantic Division. New York, the bottom-dweller of the division, as won two decisive games in a row after dropping its previous nine attempts.
