Spurs vs. Bulls final score: Sloppy 4th quarter seals Chicago's fate, 103-89

Even without three of their key players, the San Antonio Spurs used an efficient fourth quarter to pull away from the Chicago Bulls, 103-89, on Monday night at United Center.

San Antonio (41-12) used stout defense to stifle the Bulls and force 19 Chicago turnovers. They weren't phased by Chicago's defense on the other end of the floor, finishing with a 52-percent shooting performance that included hitting eight of 16 shots from the three-pont line while committing just eight giveaways of their own.

Kawhi Leonard scored a game-high 26 points and added four rebounds for San Antonio, which was without its big three of Manu Ginobili, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. It didn't seem to matter, though, as they executed to perfection and overcame the Bulls' normally pesky defense.

Chicago dominated the inside and scored 46 points in the paint to San Antonio's 36. They outrebounded the normally prolific Spurs by a margin of 49-26, but it wasn't enough to overcome a dismal 18-point fourth quarter.

The win was the Spurs' 13th in their last 14 games, and further solidifies the team as one of the NBA's elite. San Antonio currently sit atop the Western Conference with the NBA's best record. Chicago is comfortably in the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference in the fourth spot after returning from a rocky six-game road trip that saw them go 3-3.
