New York Knicks forward James White leads is the favorite to win the NBA Slam Dunk Contest during the 2013 NBA All-Star weekend.
Oddsmakers believe that underground dunking phenom James "Flight" White is the favorite to win the 2013 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, according to BOVADA.lv. A reserve for the New York Knicks who averages 1.8 points per game this season, White is a 5/4 favorite and leads a field that includes rookie Terrence Ross and veteran Gerald Green.
Ross, of the Toronto Raptors, comes in second with 7/2 odds and the Indiana Pacers' Green has 4/1 odds. Filling out the field is Los Angeles Clippers guard Eric Bledsoe with 5/1 odds, and forwards Jeremy Evans and Kenneth Faried, who have the least-likely chance of winning the 2013 Slam Dunk Contest as 8/1 favorites.
The Utah Jazz's Evans is the reigning champion in the event.
All in all, the oddsmakers believe in the contest's wings to have a good shot at winning, while the two least-skilled players in Faried and Evans have the least-likely chances of coming away with the title of best dunker.
