This year's NBA All-Star jerseys will pay homage to Houston's "rich aeronautical tradition."

When adidas unveiled its NBA All-Star jerseys for 2013, part of the inspiration behind the design was capturing the historic connection between Houston and the space program. The Houston Rockets have famously tried using a space shuttle-themed inspiration with ... um ... more mixed results, but adidas went with a more understated approach in their tribute.

"Designed by adidas, the uniforms take inspiration from Houston's rich aeronautical history and the speed of the jet planes that dot its skies," the company stated in a news release. "The uniforms' eye-catching impact camo pattern evokes the world's fastest fleet of aircraft with the classic silhouette of a basketball net."

All-Stars from the Eastern and Western conferences will unveil the jerseys in the All-Star Game at the Toyota Center in Houston at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. TV coverage starts at 7 p.m. on TNT. The complete rosters for both teams can be seen here. Kevin Durant was the MVP of last year's game.
