Kevin Garnett was thought to be a potential trade target for the contending Clippers, but the talks have since come to a halt.
Even though Chris Paul and Blake Griffin said over the All-Star break they would welcome him, it appears the Clippers won't make a move for Boston Celtics big man Kevin Garnett.

As the Feb. 21 trade deadline nears, rumors have heated up surrounding the Clippers and Garnett. But in order to make such a deal work, Los Angeles would likely need to send Eric Bledsoe to the Celtics in a package with DeAndre Jordan, according to Yahoo! Sports NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.
Garnett would solidify the Clippers from an offensive standpoint and give greater floor spacing than Jordan, who is limited on that end of the floor and lacks a refined offensive game. Garnett is more than capable of scoring inside the post and out, and could be a major asset when paired with a passer like Chris Paul.
Boston is unwilling to accept any other package than Jordan and Bledsoe, but talks have stalled and won't reopen unless Paul takes up the issue with Clippers management, according to sources.
