NBA trade rumors: Jordan Crawford reportedly has multiple suitors

USA TODAY Sports

Several teams have inquired about the Wizards' recently benched Jordan Crawford.

Could Jordan Crawford's recent benching be the precursor to a trade? According to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, several teams are inquiring about the Washington Wizards' guard.

Crawford is averaging 19 points, six assists and five rebounds per game in December, but caught some heat for his perceived selfish play and his minutes shrunk in January. Maybe not coincidentally, the Wizards started playing better as his minutes went down.

Crawford has not taken his benching well, tossing his jersey into the crowd after the Wizards' eight-point loss to the Raptors Monday.

Crawford has one year left on his rookie contract, which will see him earn $2.1 million next season. Besides the fact that Crawford can shoot, he has the added value of being cheap. It's not a surprise that teams have interest in him. The question is whether the Wizards want to give up on the young and talented guard before they can see if he matures.
