Is San Antonio going to try to strengthen its already solid core of players via trade?
Redick, like most of the players among the trade rumors this season, is in the final year of his contract and is slated to enter free agency prior to the start of the 2013-14 season. The Magic are looking to move the former Naismith Men's College Player of the Year Award winner in hopes of getting some form of compensation in return rather than let him walk for nothing.
Redick is having the best season of his career in his seventh NBA season, averaging 15.2 points and 4.4 assists in 31.6 minutes per contest -- all career-highs. The Spurs are fourth in the NBA in three-point percentage, and Redick would only augment their ability to stretch the floor and hurt teams from deep.
The former Duke star is a career 39.8 percent three-point shooter and is averaging 39.3 percent through 49 games this season.
